Where it all began
One Rescue Changed Everything
What began with one rescued dog grew into decades of fostering, caring, learning, and finding better ways to support dogs and the people who love them.
A childhood rescue
When It All Started
Renee was only seven years old when she brought home her first stray dog and named her Fido. That moment sparked a lifelong commitment to animals in need — and began a story that would continue through decades of fostering, rescue work, and hands-on care.
Care came first
Before a Brand, a Lifetime of Showing Up for Animals
For decades, Renee’s worlds of health, wellness, rescue, and animal care continued to overlap. She saw firsthand how much support dogs in need required, and how difficult it could be for rescues to consistently fund food, shelter, and medical care.
Purpose needed a path forward
A Life Built Around Care
In 2022, Renee established the Second Chance Animal Foundation, a nonprofit created to help provide financial
assistance for the medical care of animals in need. She also began exploring a business model that could
generate consistent, ongoing support for rescue organizations and animal welfare initiatives.
The beginning of FIDO’s
A Business Built Around Dogs, for Dogs
FIDO’s was created to bring two ideas together: making products dog parents could feel good about serving, and building a business that could consistently support animals in need. From the beginning, giving back was never an afterthought. It was part of the reason the company existed.
FIDO's officially began in 2022, with its first products launching in 2023. The early line introduced bone broth products designed to make nourishing daily routines easier and more enjoyable for dogs.
The Story Continues
Care That Keeps the Good Days Coming
Every bowl, every routine, and every purchase becomes part of a bigger story - one that supports the dogs in our homes and helps care reach animals still waiting for theirs.
